Considerations
Some asbestos materials can break into small fibers which can float in the air and be inhaled. Once inhaled, the fibers can become lodged in tissue. Over time, serious lung disorders can develop. If the asbestos containing material is damaged, remedial work – either encapsulation or removal – is required. If it is not damaged, it maybe best to not disturb it. According to the Schultz Property Inspection Technical Staff to determine that asbestos is present, a sample must be sent to a testing laboratory for analysis.
